About the role

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff seeks an Assistant Professor to lead its cybersecurity program. This non‑tenure, fixed‑term position will involve teaching, curriculum development, and research within a diverse, historically Black university environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in cybersecurity, network security, and related topics.
  • Develop and update curriculum to reflect current industry standards and emerging threats.
  • Mentor and supervise student projects, internships, and research activities.
  • Conduct scholarly research, publish findings, and pursue external grant funding.
  • Participate in departmental service, committees, and community outreach.

Required profile

  • Ph.D. in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching at the college or university level.
  • Strong record of scholarly publications and ability to secure research funding.
  • Commitment to student success and diversity in higher education.
