About the role

The Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science at St. Olaf College seeks a full‑time, tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Computer Science to begin in August 2027. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research, and undergraduate mentorship within a growing CS program.

Key responsibilities

• Teach five courses per year across introductory to upper‑level computer science topics, following ACM/IEEE standards.
• Supervise and mentor undergraduate research projects.
• Provide student advising and participate in departmental and college service.
• Promote community building, diversity, equity, and inclusion within the MSCS department.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field (preferred by start date).
• Demonstrated ability to teach a broad range of undergraduate CS subjects.
• Commitment to inclusive excellence and undergraduate research mentorship.
• Willingness to engage in collaborative interdisciplinary research.
