Assistant Professor of Clinical Plastic Surgery – Craniofacial

About the role

The Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Miami Leonard Miller School of Medicine, in partnership with Jackson Health System, seeks a highly skilled craniofacial/pediatric plastic surgeon to join the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery. This full‑time, onsite position supports clinical care, education, and research across multiple health systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pediatric craniofacial surgery, including cleft lip/palate repair, craniosynostosis, and vascular malformation management at Holtz Children’s Hospital.
• Perform adult craniofacial trauma reconstruction at Ryder Trauma Center and Jackson South.
• Conduct head and neck microsurgery, Mohs reconstruction, aesthetic facial procedures, orthognathic surgery, and general reconstructive cases.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (oral surgery, ENT, dermatology, neurosurgery) and serve as consultant for complex cases.
• Participate in on‑call schedules, outpatient clinics, and inpatient surgical coordination.
• Lead program development as Chief or Medical Director of Craniofacial/Pediatric Plastic Surgery, including ACPA accreditation efforts and partnership building.

Required profile

• Board‑certified plastic surgeon with specialized training in craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery.
• Experience in both adult and pediatric reconstructive procedures.
• Demonstrated commitment to graduate medical education and academic scholarship.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and lead program initiatives.
