About the role
The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is seeking a full‑time Assistant Professor on the clinical educator track in Pediatric Nephrology. The faculty member will join a vibrant division that provides comprehensive dialysis, transplant services and a Children’s Kidney Failure Center, while contributing to education and research.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality clinical care to pediatric patients with kidney disease across all stages of CKD.
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in the ACGME‑approved Pediatric Nephrology Fellowship.
- Develop and lead original clinical or translational research projects and pursue extramural funding.
- Collaborate with the Miami Transplant Institute and other multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in departmental service, including committees and quality‑improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- MD or DO degree, board certified or eligible in Pediatrics and Pediatric Nephrology.
- Eligibility for Florida medical licensure.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise and scholarly productivity.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and within collaborative groups.
- Interest in clinical and/or translational research; prior experience with grant writing is a plus.
- Fluency in Spanish, Creole or French is desired but not required.
