About the role

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine seeks a dedicated General Pediatrician to join its academic community. This full‑time faculty role combines high‑volume outpatient care with a strong focus on teaching and mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient general pediatric care in an academic setting.
• Serve as attending faculty in the resident continuity clinic, offering supervision, feedback, and hands‑on teaching.
• Educate and mentor pediatric residents and medical students in both clinical and didactic environments.
• Participate in curriculum development, quality‑improvement projects, and educational innovation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver family‑centered, evidence‑based care.
• Engage in scholarly activities aligned with departmental goals.

Required profile

• MD or DO degree with Board Certification or eligibility in General Pediatrics.
• Eligibility for Florida medical licensure.
• Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, teaching, and academic service.
• Experience in an academic or teaching environment preferred; early‑career applicants with strong teaching interest are encouraged.
