Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics – Gastroenterology

About the role

The University of Miami seeks an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics to join the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. This full‑time faculty position involves direct patient care at the 250‑bed Holtz Children’s Hospital, as well as teaching and research responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical care to pediatric patients, including those with motility, colorectal, and functional GI disorders.
• Supervise and teach medical students, residents, and fellows in the Department of Pediatrics.
• Participate in the division’s motility program and collaborate with the Miami Transplant Institute and the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center.
• Develop and conduct innovative clinical or translational research projects.
• Contribute to the fellowship program and support the division’s national and international referral network.

Required profile

• MD or DO degree.
• Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics and Gastroenterology & Nutrition.
• License or eligibility for licensure in the state of Florida.
• Commitment to teaching, patient care, and scholarly activity.

Required skills

• Clinical expertise in pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition.
• Experience with motility and functional GI disorders.
• Ability to mentor trainees and conduct research.
