Assistant Professor of Clinical OBGYN – General

About the role

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences at the University of Miami seeks an Assistant Professor of Clinical in the Generalist division. The faculty member will serve as an attending physician, providing comprehensive obstetric care and contributing to the academic mission of the department.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient obstetric and gynecologic care at Jackson Holtz Women’s & Children’s Hospital and Jackson South Medical Center.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in obstetrics and gynecology.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans addressing biological, psychological, and sociocultural factors.
• Perform physical assessments, prescribe medications, and document patient information accurately.
• Report quality‑assurance incidents, hazardous conditions, and equipment issues according to department policies.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to university, state, and federal regulations.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Medical degree (MD or DO) with appropriate licensure to practice in Florida.
• Commitment to clinical excellence, education, and ongoing professional development.
