Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology – Headache

About the role

The Department of Neurology, Division of Headache at the University of Miami School of Medicine seeks an Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology. This non‑tenure‑track faculty member will join the Headache Division to provide patient care, teach residents and fellows, and support clinical research initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality inpatient and outpatient neurological care, primarily in the main Neurology clinic and satellite locations.
• Mentor and train neurology residents and fellows, contributing to their clinical knowledge and research interests.
• Prepare and present educational content at teaching conferences and departmental meetings.
• Collect and analyze clinical data to develop proposals for future research funding.

Required profile

• MD degree from an accredited institution (or foreign equivalent).
• Completed fellowship in Headache Neurology.
• Board certification in Neurology.
• Eligibility to obtain a valid Florida medical license.

Required skills

• Strong communication skills (face‑to‑face, telephone, written).
• Excellent customer service orientation.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Good organizational abilities.
