Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine, Medical Oncology

About the role

The University of Miami seeks an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in Medical Oncology to join the Department of Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology, and the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. This full‑time faculty role combines patient care, research, and academic duties.

Key responsibilities

• Provide outpatient clinic sessions and inpatient attending coverage at Sylvester’s main campus or affiliated sites.
• Participate in departmental and divisional meetings, lectures, and teaching activities across UM schools.
• Develop and lead clinical and translational research collaborations within and beyond the Cancer Center.
• Write and submit scientific manuscripts, abstracts, and grant proposals.
• Design, conduct, and expand clinical trials in general oncology, serving as principal investigator when appropriate.

Required profile

• Demonstrated excellence in patient care, peer‑reviewed publications, and research productivity.
• National recognition or experience in developing clinical trials, especially in personalized medicine.
• Board certification or eligibility in Hematology and/or Oncology.
• Eligibility for a Florida medical license.
