Assistant Professor of Clinical Medical Oncology – Head & Neck

About the role

The University of Miami seeks a full‑time Assistant Professor of Clinical Medical Oncology with a focus on head and neck malignancies. The faculty member will provide patient care, lead clinical trials, and contribute to academic activities within the Department of Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology, and the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct outpatient clinic sessions and serve as an inpatient attending at Sylvester’s main campus or affiliated sites.
• Participate in departmental meetings, lectures, and teaching across UM schools.
• Develop and maintain research collaborations within and outside the university.
• Write and submit scientific manuscripts, abstracts, and grant proposals.
• Design, initiate, and manage clinical and translational trials, especially in head/neck cancer and sarcoma.
• Expand the clinical trials portfolio as an investigator and principal investigator.

Required profile

• Demonstrated excellence in patient care, research, and peer‑reviewed publications.
• National recognition or experience in developing clinical trials and personalized medicine.
• Board certification or eligibility in Hematology and/or Oncology.
• Active or eligibility to obtain a Florida medical license.
