Assistant Professor of Clinical – Family Medicine

About the role

The University of Miami seeks an Assistant Professor of Clinical Family Medicine to join its primary care team at UHealth in Kendall. This faculty position combines direct patient care with teaching and leadership responsibilities in a multicultural clinic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary‑care services to a diverse patient population, including histories, examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and referrals as needed.
• Supervise and mentor medical assistants and other clinical staff, ensuring accurate and timely chart documentation.
• Maintain compliance with clinic policies, contribute to protocol development, and document all encounters within 24 hours.
• Participate in the Obstetrics and Delivery Unit on a 0.40 CFTE basis while maintaining a 60 % clinical load (six clinic sessions per week).
• Engage in medical education for patients, residents, and clinic personnel.

Required profile

• MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine.
