About the role
Florida Atlantic University seeks an Assistant Professor to join its Department of English. The position focuses on U.S. World Anglophone Literature and involves teaching, research, and service at the graduate level.
Key responsibilities
- Teach graduate courses in English and Creative Writing.
- Mentor and advise graduate students.
- Conduct scholarly research in Anglophone literature.
- Contribute to the Interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in Comparative Studies.
- Support various certificate programs (Asian Studies, Ethnic Studies, Classical Studies, Peace, Justice and Human Rights, Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies, Sexuality and Gender Education).
- Participate in departmental and university service activities.
- Potentially develop and teach distance‑learning courses.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in English, Comparative Literature, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated ability to teach graduate‑level courses.
- Strong research record in U.S. World Anglophone Literature.
- Willingness to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration.
