Assistant Professor, Marketing (Tenure-Track)

About the role

The Department of Marketing in the Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John's University is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Marketing starting in Fall 2027. The department wants a candidate with expertise in artificial intelligence (AI) and marketing technology who can help shape the curriculum and prepare students for AI-driven marketing strategy. The position is based at the Queens campus in New York.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an active research profile.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
• Integrate AI tools and marketing technology into teaching and research.
• Contribute to professional and program development and to assessment activities.
• Provide service to the university and the broader community, and take part in department, college and university governance.

Required profile

• PhD in Marketing or a related discipline such as Management Science with a concentration in Marketing, from an AACSB-accredited institution.
• Evidence of teaching excellence, professional and scholarly activity, and student engagement.
• Experience with online instruction and successful teaching in face-to-face, online or hybrid formats.
• A strong commitment to service.

Required skills

• Familiarity with AI tools and marketing technology.
• Familiarity with technology-supported learning pedagogy.
