About the role
The Division of Neonatology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine seeks an Assistant Professor to join its academic neonatal/perinatal center. This full‑time faculty role combines clinical care, teaching, and research in a state‑of‑the‑art environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide neonatal attending coverage across Jackson Hospital locations on a 24/7 rotational schedule.
- Deliver antenatal consultations for high‑risk pregnancies and stabilize infants in the delivery room.
- Conduct daily rounds, supervise residents, fellows, and medical students.
- Participate in administrative duties within the division and Newborn Service.
- Develop and lead original clinical or translational research, seeking extramural funding.
Required profile
- Active Florida medical license.
- Board certified in Pediatrics.
- Neonatal board eligibility or substantial neonatal experience preferred.
- Current BLS certification.
- Commitment to academic teaching and research.
Required skills
- Neonatal resuscitation.
- BLS (Basic Life Support).
- Clinical research methodology.
