Assistant Professor – Clinical Diagnostic Radiology (ER/Trauma)

About the role

The Division of Emergency Radiology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine seeks a fellowship‑trained faculty member for an Assistant Professor position on the Clinical Educator Track. The role combines clinical imaging interpretation, teaching, and administrative duties in a fast‑paced emergency setting.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret neuro, abdominal, and chest imaging including body CT, chest CT, neuro CT, plain films, MRI of the body and neuro, and diagnostic ultrasound.
• Supervise technical personnel and provide quality‑assurance oversight for emergency and diagnostic radiology.
• Take evening, after‑hours, and weekend call coverage at UHT and other satellite locations.
• Provide diagnostic imaging consultations and emergency patient care related to imaging.
• Assume administrative responsibilities for emergency imaging services.
• Participate in teaching activities, CME programs, and radiology educational curricula.
• Serve on departmental and University of Miami Medical Center committees.

Required profile

• Fellowship completed in Abdominal/Body Imaging, Musculoskeletal, Neuro, or Emergency Radiology.
• MD, DO, PhD, or foreign equivalent with eligibility for full medical licensure in Florida.
• Demonstrated academic achievement through scientific presentations and/or publications.
