About the role

The Department of Engineering at Texas A&M University‑Corpus Christi seeks a tenure‑track Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering, focusing on transportation engineering, to start in Fall 2027.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead curriculum development and teaching for the Bachelor of Science program in Civil Engineering.
  • Develop a research program in transportation/traffic engineering and mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
  • Contribute to the Master of Science in Engineering and the newly approved Ph.D. in Engineering programs.

Required profile

  • Earned Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or a related field (ABD acceptable if conferred by appointment).
  • Established record of scholarly publications appropriate to the rank.
  • Interest or experience in transportation/traffic engineering research and teaching.
