Assistant Nurse Manager RN - Adult Emergency Department

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring an Assistant Nurse Manager RN for its 50-bed Adult Emergency Department in Celebration, Florida. The department is described as the busiest in Osceola County, offering three levels of emergency care (acute, intermediate and fast-track) and is part of a network where staff can float among other Celebration ED locations. The shift is night, variable and mid-shift.

Key responsibilities

• Perform venous access procedures within the scope of RN licensure, assess patients' conditions and develop individualized care plans for venous access and infusion therapy.
• Administer and monitor infusion therapy treatments, adjusting care plans based on patient response.
• Monitor nursing staff performance, give feedback, run appraisals and implement improvement plans.
• Mentor and precept new staff, identify training needs and organize educational programs.
• Resolve staff conflicts through mediation and lead quality improvement initiatives.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families and the healthcare team, and ensure compliance with hospital policies.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
• Associate's degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certification (required).
• 1+ years of nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• 1+ years as a charge nurse or relevant leadership experience preferred.
• Eligible for up to $20k sign-on bonus and $3,000 relocation bonus; must live 50 miles outside the campus and internal candidates or rehires within 12 months are not eligible.
