Assistant Nurse Manager, Labor & Delivery Nights

About the role

AdventHealth Altamonte Springs, a 393-bed hospital located north of Orlando, is hiring a full-time Assistant Nurse Manager for Labor & Delivery on the night shift (7:00 pm to 7:00 am, including weekend and holiday rotations). The role involves venous access and infusion therapy care for patients in the labor and delivery unit.

Key responsibilities

• Perform venous access procedures within the scope of RN licensure, ensuring proper technique and patient safety.
• Administer and monitor infusion therapy treatments, adjusting care plans based on patient responses and needs.
• Assess patients' conditions to choose appropriate venous access methods and address complications.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients needing venous access and infusion therapy.
• Educate patients on venous access and infusion therapy to ensure understanding and compliance.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN); Associate's degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's preferred.
• 1+ years as a charge nurse or relevant leadership experience (required).
• 1+ years of nursing experience in Labor & Delivery preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
