Assistant Mechanical Project Manager

About the role

Creature, an integrated design‑manufacture‑construct firm, is looking for an Assistant Mechanical Project Manager to support construction projects nationwide. You will work closely with superintendents and the MEP Project Manager, taking ownership of multiple projects from inception to delivery while upholding the company’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate daily with Project Managers, Trade Leads, Superintendents, and key stakeholders across active projects.
• Assist the MEP Project Manager in overseeing multiple projects, ensuring they stay on schedule and within budget.
• Help develop standard processes and software tools for the MEP team.
• Create estimates, proposals, and budgets for upcoming work.
• Coordinate project activities through regular meetings and team huddles.
• Maintain relationships with owners, superintendents, skilled labor, and subcontractors, managing client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Mechanical engineering background preferred.
• Experience in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Ability to review and interpret architectural plans, drawings, and specifications.
• At least 1 year of relevant, proven experience.
