Assistant Manager – Restaurant Operations

About the role

Panda Express is looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to help run a single restaurant location. You will support store operations, lead a team of associates, and ensure guests receive exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise associates to meet financial and service goals.
• Monitor sales, labor, and inventory to achieve target performance.
• Maintain food safety standards and ensure compliance with Serve Safe certification.
• Deliver a positive guest experience and address any issues promptly.
• Participate in a 3‑week (or longer) store leadership training program.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work within a 50‑mile radius of the store.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and varying shifts.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand for extended periods, and reach across counters.
• Comfort working in a fast‑paced, noisy kitchen environment.
