Assistant Manager – Lakesound Community

About the role

The Assistant Manager for the Lakesound community supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of the property. This position handles day‑to‑day accounting tasks, rent collection, invoicing, and reporting to ensure smooth financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other resident payments and prepare daily bank deposits.
• Reconcile bank accounts and produce regular financial reports for the community.
• Process vendor invoices, obtain approvals, code charges to the appropriate Chart of Accounts, and manage communications with vendors and owners.
• Operate the property management software (Yardi/OneSite), entering transactions accurately and maintaining system integrity.
• Review resident files for unpaid or late fees, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Assist with eviction procedures, including notice requirements and representation in court hearings.
• Handle resident move‑out processes, including lease term review, deposit calculations, and disposition of accounts.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented individual able to support the Community Manager in financial and operational tasks.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and owners.
• Ability to follow established company procedures for invoicing, collections, and evictions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Yardi or OneSite property management software.
• Fundamental accounting and bookkeeping knowledge, including bank reconciliations and invoice processing.
