Assistant Manager - Hollister, Staten Island Mall

About the role

Abercrombie & Fitch is hiring an Assistant Manager for its Hollister store at Staten Island Mall. The role combines business strategy, operations, creativity and people management: driving sales through analysis and customer service, overseeing daily store operations, and leading the team from recruiting and training to engagement and development. It is built on a promote-from-within philosophy.

Key responsibilities

• Perform opening and closing routines
• Supervise the sales floor and stockroom, ensuring excellent customer service and seamless operations
• Handle staffing and scheduling, payroll management and train and develop non-management staff
• Demonstrate product knowledge and brand awareness while driving sales
• Build and maintain visual displays and analyze reporting to inform decisions
• Protect store assets, perform inventory control and operate register and point-of-sale systems
• Fulfill omnichannel orders and represent the brand and company culture

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or one year of supervisory experience in a customer-facing role
• Strong customer focus and knowledge of current fashion trends
• Strong work ethic, communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to coach others
• Ability to balance multiple tasks, take initiative and thrive in a fast-paced environment
