Assistant Manager, Brand Marketing – Culture & Growth Marketing

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Brand Marketing – Culture & Growth Marketing will act as a brand steward, positioning Gap at the centre of cultural conversations and driving visibility across key cultural spaces. This role blends strategic thinking with hands‑on execution, supporting high‑impact, culturally relevant initiatives across paid media, social, retail, digital, loyalty, partnerships, PR, and product experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Support the creation of marketing briefs by gathering insights from cultural observations, consumer research, and product teams.
• Monitor cultural and industry trends, bringing fresh storytelling ideas and innovative content formats to brainstorming sessions.
• Co‑create strategy decks and proposals for senior leadership in collaboration with the Director of Brand Marketing.
• Maintain the omni‑channel marketing calendar and ensure cross‑functional partners have real‑time visibility of plans.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day initiative pipelines, managing asset checklists, product sample tracking, and key milestones from creative reviews to final approvals.
• Build strong relationships with Project Management, Creative, PR, and Social Media teams to ensure seamless communication.
• Update Go‑To‑Market tracking tools, flag potential delays, and draft project structures for smaller brand initiatives.
• Manage daily communications and asset delivery for merchants, regional markets, and external partners.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of cultural trends and their impact on brand perception.
• Experience coordinating omni‑channel marketing campaigns.
• Excellent communication and project‑management abilities.
• Ability to synthesize insights into compelling strategy documents for senior leadership.
• Collaborative mindset with a track record of working across creative, PR, and social teams.
