Assistant General Manager – Restaurant Operations

About the role

The Assistant General Manager supports the Restaurant General Manager in delivering exceptional customer experiences and upholding Taco Bell brand standards. You will lead the team, train and coach members, and step in to run daily operations when the GM is absent.

Key responsibilities

• Model the MIC Success Routine and ensure consistent customer satisfaction.
• Oversee shift excellence, food safety, and core operational standards.
• Collaborate with the GM on performance assessments, feedback, and employee relations.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring while fostering equity, inclusion, and belonging.
• Manage profit & loss elements: cash control, inventory, labor, and financial reporting.
• Support facility maintenance and enforce health and safety protocols.

Required profile

• 3+ years of restaurant or retail management experience.
• Strong communication skills for performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and team motivation.
• Ability to champion Taco Bell culture, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
• Experience in P&L management, cash control, inventory, and labor oversight.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Knowledge of cash control and security procedures.
