Assistant General Manager - Restaurant

About the role

Taco Bell is looking for an Assistant General Manager in Jacksonville, Florida, to support the Restaurant General Manager and help run the restaurant successfully. The role covers daily operations in the GM's absence, team leadership and customer experience, with a 50-hour week (40 hours at regular pay and 10 at time and a half).

Key responsibilities

• Ensure consistent customer satisfaction by modelling the MIC Success Routine and prioritising customer needs.
• Oversee team members' adherence to shift responsibilities, maintain high food safety standards and uphold core excellence.
• Take charge of restaurant operations in the GM's absence and make key decisions.
• Collaborate with the GM on team performance, give constructive feedback, resolve employee relations issues or escalate them to the GM.
• Help source, recruit, interview and hire team members, promoting equity, inclusion and belonging.
• Assist with profit and loss management, including cash control, security procedures, inventory and labour management, and review financial reports.
• Support the GM with facility maintenance and ensure health and safety standards are followed.

Required profile

• 3+ years of restaurant or retail management experience.
• Strong communication skills for performance appraisals, disciplinary action and training.
• Ability to follow corporate policies, procedures and occupational health and food safety standards.
