Assistant General Manager

About the role

As an Assistant General Manager you will support the Restaurant General Manager in delivering exceptional customer experiences and upholding Taco Bell brand standards. You will lead by example, train and coach the team, and take charge of daily operations when the GM is absent.

Key responsibilities

• Model the MIC Success Routine, prioritize customer needs, and ensure food safety and core excellence.
• Oversee shift excellence, manage restaurant operations in the GM’s absence, and collaborate on team performance assessments.
• Handle employee relations, recruit, interview, and hire team members while fostering equity, inclusion, and belonging.
• Assist with profit & loss management, cash control, inventory, labor scheduling, and review financial reports.
• Support facility maintenance and ensure health and safety standards are met.

Required profile

• 3+ years of restaurant or retail management experience.
• Strong communication skills for performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and employee motivation.
• Ability to follow cash control, security procedures, and maintain inventory.
• Commitment to Taco Bell’s culture, values, and inclusive environment.

Required skills

• Experience with P&L management and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of food safety and occupational health standards.
