Assistant Front Desk Manager

About the role

Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh is looking for an Assistant Front Desk Manager in Pittsburgh, PA. The role supports the Front Desk Manager in daily operations and staff supervision, while delivering exceptional guest service and a welcoming front desk environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Front Desk Manager with daily operations and staff supervision
• Train, coach and motivate front desk associates to meet service standards
• Handle guest concerns and resolve issues quickly and professionally
• Oversee check-in/check-out processes, reservations and billing accuracy
• Support scheduling, shift coverage and team productivity
• Monitor room inventory, occupancy and revenue opportunities
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and brand standards
• Maintain accurate reports, records and front office systems
• Lead by example in professionalism, appearance and service delivery, staying calm in fast-paced situations

Required profile

• Associate degree plus 3 years of experience, or bachelor's degree plus 1 year of experience
• 3-5 years of progressive hotel or hospitality experience preferred
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Comfortable working flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays
• Willingness to obtain required certifications (CPR, First Aid, Food Handler, Alcohol Awareness)
