About the role
The Office of Career & Professional Development at Belmont University seeks an Assistant Director to lead marketing, programming, and employer outreach initiatives. This full‑time position supports students, alumni, faculty, staff, and employers in building career readiness and professional networks.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute marketing and communication strategies, including social media, digital content, and email campaigns.
- Manage the Career Development website and social media platforms to increase engagement.
- Design and deliver career development programming aligned with student career clusters.
- Provide one‑on‑one career coaching and advising to students and alumni.
- Review and give feedback on resumes, cover letters, and graduate school essays.
- Cultivate and maintain employer relationships and external partnerships.
- Supervise the Digital Marketing/Social Media Intern.
- Collaborate with faculty to embed occupational well‑being and career readiness across the curriculum.
Required profile
- Experience in career services, student development, or related higher‑education functions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse campus and external audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects, manage multiple priorities, and supervise staff.
Required skills
- Proficiency with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Experience managing website content and email communication systems.
- Familiarity with career management tools and assessment resources.
