Assistant Controller / Controller – Finance Leadership Role

About the role

Forma Life Sciences is seeking an Assistant Controller or Controller to own and lead its finance and accounting function as the company scales. This hands‑on finance leader will build, strengthen, and guide the financial infrastructure of a fast‑growing CDMO while working directly with the C‑suite, Board, investors, auditors, and cross‑functional leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls.
• Lead cash forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning processes.
• Ensure audit readiness and support external audit activities.
• Provide business decision support and strategic insight to senior leadership.
• Develop and mentor a high‑performing accounting team.
• Partner with the executive team on Board‑level and shareholder reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance/accounting leadership within a regulated industry.
• Strong technical accounting depth and ability to manage complex reporting requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to influence business decisions and communicate with senior executives.
• Track record of building scalable finance processes and teams.
