Assistant Construction Superintendent – Commercial

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Assistant Construction Superintendent to support field operations on commercial projects across the Phoenix market. Working closely with the Lead Superintendent and Project Management team, you will help ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent with daily field operations and jobsite coordination.
• Help manage subcontractors, vendors, and site logistics.
• Monitor project schedules and support milestone tracking.
• Conduct daily site walks to verify safety, quality, and productivity.
• Coordinate inspections, deliveries, and material staging.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Maintain daily reports, progress photos, and documentation.
• Enforce OSHA and company safety policies on‑site.
• Coordinate punch‑list completion and project closeout activities.
• Communicate with project managers, architects, engineers, inspectors, and owners.
• Support scheduling and sequencing of trades to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Track and report jobsite issues, delays, and RFIs to leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial construction field operations.
• Experience with ground‑up or tenant‑improvement projects preferred.
• Knowledge of construction means, methods, scheduling, and sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
