Assistant Community Manager – Trella Uptown

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager will support the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of Trella Uptown, a mid‑rise lease‑up community in Charlotte, NC. This full‑time position involves handling daily accounting tasks, rent collection, invoice processing, and financial reporting to ensure smooth community operations.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments daily.
• Prepare and process invoices for payment.
• Perform bank deposits, account reconciliations, and dispositions.
• Assist with month‑end close and generate financial reports.
• Maintain accurate records in the property management software.
• Support the Community Manager with operational tasks during lease‑up.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents and vendors.

Required skills

• Basic accounting and bookkeeping knowledge.
• Proficiency with property management software.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
