Assistant Community Manager – Lakewood

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational functions of the Lakewood community. This position handles daily accounting tasks, rent collection, invoice processing, and ensures accurate financial reporting using property‑management software.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Operate Yardi/OneSite software, entering data accurately and maintaining system integrity.
• Review resident files for unpaid or late fees, communicate balances, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Process vendor invoices, reconcile work performed, obtain approvals, and code charges to the appropriate Chart of Accounts.
• Follow established eviction procedures, issue proper notices, and represent the community in court hearings when required.
• Handle resident move‑outs, review lease terms, apply deposit and cancellation fees, and process related financial adjustments.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established financial and legal procedures.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and legal representatives.
• Experience with property‑management operations and community‑level accounting.
