Assistant Clinical Coordinator/Instructor – Surgical Tech & Sterile Processing

About the role

This part‑time position supports the Surgical Technology and Sterile Processing program by coordinating clinical rotations and delivering classroom and lab instruction. You will work closely with the Program Director to ensure students achieve the required competencies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Clinical Coordinator in scheduling and monitoring student clinical rotations.
• Deliver instruction in assigned classes or labs, including online components.
• Mentor, tutor, and advise students throughout the program.
• Proctor written exams and evaluate psychomotor skills in lab and practical settings.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure lab organization.
• Participate in recruitment events and respond promptly to faculty and student communications.
• Complete required professional development and other college‑mandated duties.

Required profile

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with at least three years of documented clinical experience.
• Ability to work up to 26 hours per week, coordinated with the Program Director.
• Strong commitment to student learning and program quality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Blackboard or similar learning management systems.
• Operation of surgical laboratory equipment.
• Instructional delivery of surgical technology concepts.
