Assistant Attorney General – Privacy & Responsible Technology

About the role

The Attorney General’s Office is seeking a highly motivated attorney to join the Privacy & Responsible Technology Division. This full‑time position focuses on protecting consumers from unfair and deceptive technology practices, including social media, AI, and data security issues.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support major litigation involving social media platforms, children’s privacy, data security, and emerging technologies.
• Conduct investigations, manage discovery, take depositions, and draft motions.
• Collaborate with state and federal enforcement agencies and negotiate resolutions that serve the public interest.
• Participate in educational and policy initiatives to promote privacy and security.

Required profile

• Member of the Massachusetts Bar (or eligible for admission shortly).
• At least three years of complex litigation experience, including judicial clerkships.
• Excellent written and oral communication, legal research, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated commitment to public service and an inclusive work environment.
