Assistance Nurse – Medical Support for Travelers

About the role

International SOS is seeking an Assistance Nurse to provide expert medical support to insured travelers under its A&H Business Travel policies. The role involves assessing incidents, delivering clinical advice, and coordinating medical evacuations to ensure safe and cost‑effective care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct immediate assessments of medical incidents reported by travelers and gather critical information.
• Provide tailored clinical advice in line with policy guidelines and regional medical standards.
• Manage case progression, ensure thorough documentation and smooth handovers between shifts.
• Coordinate medical evacuations and repatriations, selecting appropriate transport based on patient condition.
• Refer patients to suitable healthcare providers, maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of local medical networks.
• Collaborate with International SOS Assistance Centers and operational teams to optimise outcomes.
• Adhere to work rosters while remaining flexible for urgent cases and contribute to occupational health and safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Registered nurse with experience in clinical case management and medical assistance.
• Strong ability to assess medical situations quickly and prioritize care.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills, with attention to confidentiality.
• Willingness to work shift patterns and adapt to urgent case demands.
