Asset Protection Officer - Second Shift

About the role

Meijer is hiring a full-time Asset Protection Officer for its second shift (3:00 pm to 11:00 pm) in Lansing. The role covers loss prevention, safety and regulatory compliance, and requires experience with OSHA, EPA and FDA regulations and enforcement of regulatory and environmental compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct hazardous emergency evacuation drills, including tornado and fire drills.
• Be accountable for 200% safety, for self and others.
• Conduct internal and external theft investigations.
• Lead and teach classes on safety, orientation, evacuation and powered equipment operation.

Required profile

• Experience in loss prevention, security or a military background is beneficial.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to perform assigned shift work.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of federal and state policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA and FDA regulations and enforcement of regulatory and environmental compliance.
