Assembly Technician

About the role

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is seeking an Assembly Technician to join its aerospace manufacturing team in Kinston, NC. You will work on the shop floor assembling critical composite structures for the Airbus A350 XWB, collaborating with skilled colleagues in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repetitive and non‑repetitive assembly operations on electronic and mechanical sub‑assemblies such as modules, boards, panels, frames, and cables.
• Interpret diagrams, drawings, blueprints, and work orders to create initial layouts and assemble components.
• Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, and saws to fabricate and fit parts.
• Conduct continuity checks and quality inspections in line with specifications.
• Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies under simulated conditions.

Required profile

• Ability to read and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Comfort working with hand and power tools in a manufacturing setting.
• Attention to detail for quality checks and continuity testing.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety and quality standards.
