Assembly Technician – Aerospace Manufacturing

About the role

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is seeking an Assembly Technician to join its aerospace manufacturing team. You will work on the shop floor assembling critical composite components for the Airbus A350 XWB, contributing to the production of large aerostructures such as centre fuselage sections and wing spars.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repetitive and non‑repetitive assembly tasks on electronic and mechanical sub‑assemblies, including modules, panels, frames and cable bundles.
• Interpret diagrams, drawings and blueprints to create initial layouts and guide assembly work.
• Utilise hand tools, power tools, jigs and saws to fabricate and fit parts.
• Conduct continuity checks and quality inspections in line with specifications.
• Disassemble, modify, rework and test prototype assemblies under simulated conditions.
