Assembly First Level Manager

About the role

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is seeking an Assembly First Level Manager to lead the production of advanced composite aerostructures for the Airbus A350 XWB. The role oversees assembly, joining, system installation and testing of complex aircraft components while interfacing with engineering, suppliers and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team in the GMF assembly area to meet production targets and customer acceptance.
• Oversee component assembly, structural joining, system installation and testing using mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional groups (Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, Machining, etc.) and manage statements of work within budget and schedule.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including 5 years in a leadership/management role.
• Experience working with multiple cross‑functional groups and interfacing with engineering, management, suppliers and customers.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4 years of experience may substitute).
• US citizenship and ability to travel up to 5% domestically/internationally.
