AS5/SOX Business Analyst

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is seeking a Business Analyst to support its Auditing Standard No. 5 (AS5/COSO/SOX) function. The analyst will work closely with management and control owners across divisions to evaluate internal controls over financial reporting and help drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business lines to assess the design and effectiveness of internal controls.
• Perform key control testing and document results in accordance with AS5 guidance.
• Participate in departmental, bank‑wide, and federal agency projects, providing intermediate analytical support.
• Develop and deliver training, presentations, and reports for various management levels.
• Monitor compliance with policies, procedures, and standards, and assist in risk assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum three years of analytical or project‑management experience, including exposure to internal‑control assessments.
• Ability to work on‑site regularly and interact with staff at all organizational levels.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
