About the role
The AI Data Governance Officer is a senior contributor responsible for administering the bank’s enterprise AI governance framework and overseeing AI use cases throughout their lifecycle. This role ensures responsible innovation, transparency, and compliance with internal standards and regulatory expectations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead administration of the enterprise AI risk governance framework and coordinate activities across business lines and corporate functions.
- Manage intake, assessment, classification, and governance of proposed AI use cases, maintaining an enterprise inventory and related records.
- Serve as coordinator for the AI Working Group, preparing agendas, meeting materials, decision logs, and tracking action items.
- Develop management reporting, dashboards, and monitoring of AI inventory, approvals, issues, and emerging risks.
- Interpret evolving regulatory expectations and translate them into practical governance requirements, supporting audits and examinations.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in risk management, business, economics, statistics, mathematics, information systems, computer science, law, or a related discipline.
- 8‑12 years of experience in a financial institution or consulting environment with exposure to AI governance.
- 3‑5 years of experience evaluating or governing AI/ML use cases across the lifecycle, including pre‑implementation assessment, control design, and post‑deployment monitoring.
- Experience interacting with internal audit, regulators, or independent model review functions.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of AI/ML concepts, generative AI, and associated risk factors such as bias and explainability.
- Experience with Archer or similar governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting.
- Ability to analyze complex technical concepts and communicate risks to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
