Area Maintenance Manager – Jersey City

About the role

Greystar is seeking an experienced Area Maintenance Manager to oversee technical and mechanical operations across three or more residential communities totaling over 500 units in Jersey City. You will ensure that interiors, exteriors, amenities, and common areas meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality while staying within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and complete all work orders generated from resident service requests.
• Develop scopes of work, manage vendor relationships, and negotiate contracts.
• Monitor and analyze property maintenance needs, recommending improvements and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and Greystar’s operational standards.
• Supervise and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, especially in high‑rise environments.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing high‑rise residential assets and maintenance teams.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, safety protocols, and budgeting.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects across several properties.
