Area Administrator - Intact Family Services

About the role

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional and results-oriented Area Administrator for Intact Family Services in Centralia, IL. The position is full time, salaried, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm, with a hybrid schedule and occasional reporting to headquarters depending on operational need. The anticipated starting salary is $10,500 to $12,500 per month.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as Area Administrator of Intact Family Services.
• Serve as full-line supervisor of subordinate supervisory staff.
• Provide input into all regional planning activities for intact family services.
• Coordinate program support services within the region.
• Consult with and advise community and regional advisory councils, committees and private agencies on program needs, standards and services.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned that fall within the scope of the duties listed above.

Required profile

• An MSW or a master's degree in a related human services field, in business administration, or a juris doctorate.
• Four years of administrative child welfare experience with an MSW, or five years with a master's degree in a related field.
• Excellent organizational skills, and strong leadership and communication capabilities.
• Bilingual skills are welcome.
