Apprentice & Journeyman Carpenter – Union Pay & Benefits

About the role

ACP Ohio is expanding its crew and seeks both apprentice and journeyman carpenters to work on a variety of construction projects throughout the Columbus area. The position offers competitive union wages, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to travel to multiple job sites.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
• Assist supervisors with structural design, layout, and installation planning.
• Perform repair and installation of exterior assemblies, vapor barriers, insulation, doors, drywall, acoustic grids, ceilings, and related fixtures.
• Operate hand, power, and specialty tools safely and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, health, and safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service on site.
• Stand, climb ladders up to 18 feet, and lift objects up to 50 lb unassisted.

Required profile

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Authorized to work in the United States (E‑Verify participation).
• Reliable personal transportation for traveling between job sites.
• Pass a drug screening; no background check required.
