About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking an Appointment Clerk for its Wheeling, IL Service Center office. This full‑time position works Monday‑Friday on various shifts and offers a competitive hourly rate of $18.76.
Key responsibilities
- Answer calls on a multi‑line telephone system and provide courteous customer service.
- Enter data accurately and schedule delivery appointments for inbound and outbound freight.
- Assist customers with pickup requests and perform additional duties as directed by management.
Required profile
- Ability to multitask with a strong sense of urgency.
- Dependable, well‑organized and computer literate.
- Excellent office, telephone and communication skills.
Required skills
- Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute with accuracy.
- Proficiency with standard office software and data‑entry applications.
