Reporting to the Director of Applications and New Technologies, the role bridges product development, applications support, and customer collaboration.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and execute best‑in‑class bottom‑up proteomics workflows on high‑resolution MS instruments, including protein expression, PTM profiling and localization.
  • Design and run proof‑of‑concept studies, application notes and demos that translate customer challenges into tangible value.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain Thermo Orbitrap and/or Bruker timsTOF platforms and associated LC‑MS systems, processing data to generate scientific insights.
  • Collaborate with customers, key opinion leaders, and internal teams to create innovative workflows, deliver live/virtual demonstrations, and produce technical materials such as presentations, white papers and posters.
  • Provide scientific feedback to product development, software, and R&D teams, influencing product direction and ensuring prototype and production systems meet performance requirements.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s with 8+ years, Master’s with 5+ years, or PhD with 2+ years of relevant proteomics experience.
  • Proven track record of introducing new technologies into existing workflows and publishing scientific results.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, interdisciplinary environment.

Required skills

  • Hands‑on experience with bottom‑up, middle‑down and top‑down proteomics workflows.
  • Operation of high‑resolution mass spectrometers (Thermo Orbitrap, Bruker timsTOF) and ion mobility spectrometry.
  • Proficiency with LC platforms (HPLC, UHPLC, nanoLC) and LC‑MS/MS method development.
  • Mass spectrometry data processing, interpretation, statistical analysis, and bioinformatics tools.
  • Familiarity with proteomics software, Python, R and AI‑based data analysis tools.
