Applications Engineer – Mechanical / Field Service

About the role

We are looking for a mechanically strong Applications Engineer to provide hands‑on technical service for conveyor and food‑processing equipment. You will work directly with customers across the United States and Canada, supporting installations, startups, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance in production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot conveyor and food‑processing equipment at customer sites.
• Support system startups and deliver on‑site technical guidance.
• Train customer teams on operation, maintenance, and best practices.
• Recommend mechanical solutions that improve performance and reliability.
• Document service visits with clear reports and actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with sales teams to ensure proper product application.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Food Science, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on mechanical experience in installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, or field service.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to explain technical concepts.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English and Spanish.
• Willingness to travel up to 60 % of the time, including occasional weekends/holidays.
