Application Developer

About the role

The Brain Game Center for Mental Fitness and Well‑being at Northeastern University is seeking an Applications Developer to create modular, cross‑platform software in C# for cognitive measurement and training tools. The role involves full‑cycle development from design to maintenance, working with Unity and hardware integrations such as VR, EEG and eye‑tracking.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain C# applications on Unity, ensuring clean architecture, defensive programming and scalability.
• Integrate hardware devices (VR, EEG, eye‑tracking, actigraphy) into software solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams, providing technical support and documentation.
• Participate in project management, version control, testing and deployment processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required skills

• C# and Unity development.
• Network programming in C#.
• Object‑oriented design, SOLID principles.
• Video game (2D/3D) development.
• Version control and software organization.
• UI development and full‑stack experience.
