Animatics Assembler – Entry Level Manufacturing Role

About the role

Moog is seeking an Animatics Assembler A to join its fast‑paced manufacturing team in Murphy, NC. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience with SmartMotor products, combining mechanical assembly with basic firmware programming.

Key responsibilities

• Perform assembly operations in a high‑speed production environment.
• Follow detailed work instructions for assembly and testing of SmartMotor products.
• Program software/firmware onto SmartMotor units using computer systems.
• Conduct functional testing and troubleshoot basic electronic and mechanical issues.
• Execute final assembly, touch‑up, and quality checks using hand tools and crimpers.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred; ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
• Mechanical aptitude with good hand dexterity and range of motion.
• Clear vision for color differentiation and basic math skills.

Required skills

• Software/firmware programming for SmartMotor devices.
• Mechanical assembly using small hand tools.
• Electronic troubleshooting.
• Use of crimping tools.
