Anesthesiology Resident

About the role

The Anesthesiology Resident program provides structured clinical training to develop expertise in anesthesiology, including regional techniques and peri‑operative patient management.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in regional anesthesia block rotations to gain focused experience.
• Evaluate patients' therapeutic plans under supervision of senior residents and attending anesthesiologists.
• Assist anesthesiologists by setting up equipment, preparing medications, and managing anesthesia delivery systems.
• Insert IV lines, draw arterial and venous blood gases, and place central lines, arterial catheters, and chest tubes independently.
• Maintain patient monitoring devices before, during, and after anesthesia.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary rounds, quality improvement, safety, infection control, and documentation of preventative maintenance.

Required profile

• M.D., D.O., or comparable degree in a relevant medical field.
• Certification in anesthesiology or related specialty.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
